The Vantage Pro2 cabled weather station include two components: the Integrated Sensor Suite (ISS) and the console. The ISS contains the sensor interface module (SIM), rain collector, an anemometer, and a passive radiation shield. The Vantage Pro2 console provides the user interface, data display, and calculations. The Cabled Vantage Pro2 Plus weather station includes two additional sensors that are optional on the Vantage Pro2: the UV sensor and the solar radiation sensor.
The cabled system ships complete with a 100' (30m) length of cable connects the outdoor ISS to the console; however this can be extended up to 1000' (300m) for unique installation instances. | |

The Vatnage Pro2 comes with an AC power adaptor but can be powered using 3 C-cell batteries (not included).

| | Rain Collector
With it's self emptying tipping bucket is exceptionally accurate you can read rainfall amount in 0.01" or 0.2mm increments. Designed to meet the guidelines of the World Meteorological Organization, the Davis aluminium plated tipping bucket is corrosion-resistant and laser calibrated for accuracy.

| | Anemometer
The anemometer includes both wind speed and direction sensors. Rugged components stand up to hurricane force winds, yet are sensitive to the lightest breeze. The anemometer is wind-tunnel tested to speeds in excess of 170 miles per hour (274 km/h).

| | Temperature and Humidity Sensors
The radiation shield protects the sensors from solar radiation and other sources of radiated and reflected heat for accurate data readings.

| | Solar Radiation Sensor
The Solar Radiation Sensor, or solar pyranometer, measures solar radiation and solar energy. The sensor's transducer, which converts incident radiation to electrical current, is a silicon photodiode with wide spectral response. A unique two-piece housing minimizes radiation heating, allows convection cooling of the sensor, and prevents the trapping of water or dust. Includes 3' (0.9m) cable.

The UV Sensor measures the sunburning portion of the UV spectrum. The sensor allows the display of a UV index, UV dose rate, and the daily and accumulated dose. A unique two-piece housing minimizes radiation heating, allows convection cooling of the sensor, and prevents the trapping of water or dust. Includes 3' (0.9m) cable.
