| The station was quickly and easily installed by staff on-site - a must for the busy team at the Garden. Ideally positioned in the bog garden which is fed by drainage water from the Double Walled Garden, the station is clearly visible to passers-by who can see it collecting data day in, day out. Live information is then transmitted to the AquaLab, perched on stilts above the edge of Pwyll yr Ardd, which acts as the main education building. Packed full of microscopes and study aids, it is a place of learning for school children, botanical illustrators and night school classes. The AquaLab contains all the resources necessary for analysis of fieldwork results and identification work. The nearby dipping pools also provide safe access for sampling pond life. Data- logging equipment, including the Skyview Weather Station, makes accurate physical data available to students of all ages. | |
