show your currency
Skymet Observer is an innovative recording software allowing students to manually input weather data on to the PC, enabling students to understand more about the information they are entering with thanks to a more "hands on" approach. For younger pupils Skymet Observer features drop-down menus to make data recording easy.
The software can be used with any weather equipment as it does not have to be directly connected to any hardware to retreive information.
The unique and exciting feature of Skymet is that if you have an internet connection you can simultaneously record data from one of over 300 automatic stations around the UK.

Features
Entering your data
Data is entered manually by filling in the gaps on the entry form. You can enter information for a number of weather variables including temperature, humidity, wind and rain. Entering the correct date and time of the entry will help you store historical information and enable you to create graphs and view trends for selected time periods.
Internet resources
Internet resources are available to enhance learning, by displaying current weather images as a backdrop to your data. You can also record data from one of over 300 other automatic stations around the UK giving a direct comparison of weather in two locations.
Weather display
This screen shows local data input by hand. It gives the latest available archived outdoor data for review. This is not the real-time data; it will remain blank on a new installation until an archived record is created. This screen also allows review of remote data sourced from the internet.
Creating graphs
The graphing facility allows graphs to be created showing a range of up to four data types. Graphs can be plotted using local data only or local and remote data. The system will choose to plot one or two graphs depending on the number of data types selected.
