Q: How do you change a calibration number? |
 | | | | | | 1. Press the appropriate key to display the reading whose CAL number you wish to change. 2. If you are changing the CAL for wind speed, temperature, or humidity, press the key you pressed in step 1 again so the reading you do not want to change appears in the display. For example, to change outside temperature, display inside temperature first. 3. Press the key you pressed in step 1 and hold down that key. After a few seconds, the display will begin to alternate between the CAL and the reading you wish to change. The word cal will appear twice and when you think it will appear a third time a four-digit number will appear. This is the current calibration number. The default calibration number is 0000. 4. At this point release the button you were pushing and press the ENTER key and hold it down. One of the first digits on the left will flash and then begin to cycle through all the possible entries for the time function. When the display reaches the entry you want, release the ENTER key. Press the ENTER key again 01/01/05 and hold it down the next digit will flash and then begin to cycle through all its possible entries. When the display reaches the entry you want release the ENTER key. Repeat this process for the remaining digits. 5. After getting the calibration number to the desired setting press any key or wait 4 seconds without pressing ENTER to save the entry.
EXAMPLES: 1. If you want your temperature reading 3 degrees higher make your calibration number read 0003. 2. If you want a negative CAL number for temperature or humidity, first enter the number without the negative sign, then return to the second digit on the left by pushing and releasing the ENTER button until that digit is flashing. Hold the ENTER button down and the display will cycle through its possible entries, one of which is the negative sign. 3. If you want your temperature to read 3 degrees lower, make the calibration number -003. NOTE: To protect against accidental changing of the barometric pressure once it has been set, the ENTER key must be held down for at least eight seconds before the first digit on the left begins to change for barometric pressure.

Q: Can i calibrate wind speed? |
 | | | | | | No. The wind speed calibration number is 1600. We highly recommend that you do not change this number. If your wind speed is low it is likely that there is a source of friction at the wind cups or the anemometer is in a location where the wind is blocked, reduced, or otherwise affected.
