Q. Which time-zone do I set on the weather station to receive UK time?
As you proceed through the set up process you will be asked if you would like to have the radio controlled clock (RCC) ON or OFF, if you wish to use the RCC then choose ON and when you are asked to set your time zone you will need to choose -1hr to receive accurate UK time.
Q. My wind speed erratically records 57mph and a direction hits NNW, what can be done to fix this?
Occasionally we do receive complaints of this problem, we believe this is an intermittent fault caused by failure of the transmitter board in the wind sensor. If your station is within warranty we would advise that you email the Returns Department to retreive a returns reference number support@skyview.co.uk.
Q. My external readings read - -.- -, what can I do to fix this?
This section applies to the loss of a single or external sensor readings e.g. you still have wind and temperature recordings but have lost rain data.
Sometimes signal interference can cause sensors to lose communication with the base station. We recommend that you try a simple reset procedure to test whether it is a matter of communcation lost or failure of the rain sensor. The reset procedure is as follows: 1. Remove all batteries from the external transmitter and internal display unit 2. Leave the batteries out for 10 minutes to allow the station to settle 3. Check the connections between the rain sensor, wind sensor and the transmitter to ensure they are clipped in securely 4. Put the batteries back into the external transmitter and strictly within 120 seconds put the batteries into the internal display.
