| | Information from (D)GPS is required for calculation of true wind. When the (D)GPS information is not valid or at low speeds the display uses heading from a gyro and speed from log information.
Relative wind direction is indicated within a double circle relative to the longitudinal axis of the vessel. True wind direction is indicated within a second circle with four wind directions consisting of 36 LED's for average direction, inside these circles numerical displays indicate the relative and true wind speed.
The wind information can be displayed in m/s, Knots, Km/h, mph or beaufort. The display can be set to measure 2 minute and 10 minute averaging intervals.
Many in-and output connections are available either as standard or as options. No additional control units are required when used with OMC wind sensors, most other common sensors can be interfaced to the display. | |
