| | This ultrasonic anemometer from Gill Instruments simultaneously measures wind speed and wind direction and is now supplied with two-year warranty.Ultrasonic technology means that the sensor can accurately measure very low wind speeds.
The WindSonic combines both wind speed and direction data into one serial (or two analogue outputs), which are transmitted together with an instrument status code, confirming correct operation. A lightweight unit (0.5 kg) of robust construction, designed to withstand installation and use without the fear of damage associated with more fragile cups or propellers. The WindSonic has been designed for marine or land based applications.
This unit is available in three options as follows:
