About Bethany School
Founded in 1866, Bethany is a Co-educational Day and Boarding school set in the heart of the stunning Kent countryside. Occupying some 60 acres of the Weald, it is a truly enviable site. Pupils benefit from modern, state-of-the-art facilities and every care is taken to ensure that their time spent at Bethany is both comfortable and enjoyable.
In order to offer pupils the very best education, the facilities at Bethany match the quality of teaching. To achieve this balance, the school continuously improves resources and infrastructure through a sustained programme of development, the most recent example being their state-of-the-art Science Centre. At Bethany we are committed to giving young people an education which will equip them for life in a changing world, set within the firm foundations of a Christian community.
Exciting Developments for Weather Enthusiasts
The School has recently invested in a new automated weather system which include the Davis Vantage Pro2. This exciting piece of equipment has brought weather to life in Geography and Science lessons. Pupils have been able to check the school website, which provides a continual upload of weather data from the Weather Station, transmitted through a wireless connector.
Bethany has also included a subscription to our unique ClimeMET Interactive Learning Platform which provides a suite of weather data alongside a range of learning and tutorial tools for each Key Stage in the curriculum.
The Davis Vantage Pro2 Station captures a wealth of data including:
> Indoor & Outdoor Temperature
> Wind Speed
> Wind Direction
> Barometric pressure
> 5 Day Forecast
For weather enthusiasts, there are graphs and charts which detail the various weather elements such as wind speed, wind direction and temperature over 24 hours to 31 days.
